In the beginning...
Catherine O’Hara died today. That’s not exactly a roaring start to a comedy-focused blog, but it’s true. I’ve seen social media posts describing her as a “comedy legend”, and that’s true too. She’s one of those funny women I want to be when I grow up. The problem is, I have already grown up. Beyond some mild joke writing and a couple of years of making funny social media stories, I haven’t really tried to be funny. So, I’m trying now. I’m trying to honour the funny women who have come before, the funny women I look up to. So, what will this blog be? Jokes? Lmao, no. I’ve been sharing my jokes for free on the internet for far too long. It’s time for a sustained comedy project. Something I write and create. How I share the funny finished project will depend on what it is (I haven’t worked that out yet). This blog will be for my notes as I do that.
